It is daylight saving again...which means that winter is approaching...
Am I the only weird one who dislikes daylight saving? If you do know someone out there who shares the same sentiment, please inform me and save me from the thought of being crazy. I have nothing against daylight saving except for the fact that it is messing up my meal and sleep time...

I am just done ironing my uniforms, or so I thought as the creases on the uniforms stared back at me.

Listening to Aiko's KissHug, the theme for Hana Yori Dango Final. Starting to like this song more. Not sure majority of the people will like this song because of the high pitch but this song reminds me of the plot...and the time when I am back in Singapore for that short summer...

Disappointed that my cousin is no longer coming to Manchester for Christmas...
Seems like no one is interested in visiting me while I am in Manchester...

Haven't been watching Korean dramas for a while due to the catching up with all my animes since my Europe backpack trip. Tried watching Love Marriage (KOR) and Maou (JAP) but lacked the enthusiasm to continue. Scanned through the list of dramas in MySoju and this drama caught my eyes...

    Hong Gil Dong

I do not normally watch dramas whose title is just the name of the lead character. I would think that the drama lack creativity. However, Hong Gil Dong proves me wrong big time! It is one well written script that uses the right amount of melodrama and still holds the capacity to make the viewers laugh with some of the funny scenes. Try to imagine a fashion catwalk show for a corrupt minister's birthday; or a few gisaengs bellydancing to the techno music in a brothel under flooding neon lights...XD
As for the cast, I must say they have done a very good job this time. I have seen Kang Ji Hwan in 加油 金顺!before, so he is not someone unfamiliar to me. Other than knowing Sung Yuri is from the disbanded Fin.K.L, she is a total stranger. But I am awed by her performance in this drama, especially the part where she broke down thinking that Hong Gil Dong died. Jang Geun Suk is also new to me and I don't think he had a breakthrough in his role. To be fair, the prince had only one type of expression on his face. Looking forward to his performance in Hwang Jin Yi now... As for Kim Ri Na, I just don't really like her (perhaps due to her character).

Refreshing storyline, entertaining characters, topped with comical scenes, I strongly recommend Hong Gil Dong!

I enjoy listening to Korean songs back when I am in Singapore...but never did my love for them grow at an alarming rate like now! I remembered it was back in my ssecondary school days when I first notice Shinhwa with their hit single "Perfect Man". After that was mostly opening and ending songs of Korean dramas.

Ever since I came to Manchester and met a bunch of drama/animation fanatics, my views on Korean entertainment broaden. Whether it is listening to Korean playlist on Imeem or watching Korean variety shows (eg. Xman, YSMM and We Got Married) while eating my dinner, my life has changed drastically. What scares me the most is that I am actually recognising each faces and names of different bands. Shocking!

My Favourite Korean Bands at the moment!

Shinhwa: Their ten years friendship never fail to touch my heart. They will definitely be missed when they go into hiatus due to army. Shinhwa Changjo will be awaiting your return!

DBSK/TVXQ: With the largest fan group on Earth, Cassiopeia, it already speaks for themselves. They have something that just make fangirls go "Kya! Kya!" and their acapella are the best among all the boybands I have heard.

Big Bang: And just exactly how the name sounds, this group does blow you away with their catchy songs that never go out of style! No wonder they have been winning the highly prestigious Daesung award for two consecutive years...

Last but not least, SS501: An uprising boyband that may match DBSK in the future. They do have some songs that are very nice!
