My Story..My Life...

Goodness...I haven't blog for a long time, after some reminders from Thuy. Well, this is not my longest record yet...

Just went for a jog around Birchfield Park...at like 11am. Yes, it sounds crazy but this is not Singapore, where going for a jog near noon will guarantee you a place in a hospital due to heatstroke. The weather is cloudy, with a hint that it will rain again in the afternoon. The air is cold and damp, but not as chilly as last week. Maybe that is why I feel so good today after the jog. I manage to jog all the way, of course with the help of my Salbutamol inhaler.

Speaking of which, Pharmacology exam is on Friday. Let me revise a bit...
Salbutamol is a B2-agonist. It binds to B2-adrenoreceptor and therefore stimulates smooth muscles in the trachea to relax to expand the airway. Salmeterol and Terbutaline are also B2 agonists, but they are long-acting.

Beclamethasone and Prednisolone are steroids, which alters DNA transcription.

Theophylline and another drug (which i forgot but ends with -line as well) inhibits phosphodiesterase and therefore, reduce the effect of inflammatory responses.

Montelukast and Zafirlukast are leukotriene antagonists in which they bind to leukotriene receptors so that inflammatory responses are reduced as well.

Enough of blabbering. I am stilll licking my wounds from Monday. Feels cheated through and through. Prays that I will be cool and calm like a cucumber and not tongue-tied for tomorrow's presentation. Tomorrow shall be the day when I will make a comeback.
